Pine Tar has been used in Scandinavian nations for centuries as a preservative for wood which may be exposed to extreme conditions. After all these years Pine Tar is still used to protect and preserve roof tops, outdoor furniture, decks, ropes and other wood products.

Pine tar is a semisolid brown-to-black liquid substance produced by the destructive distillation of pine wood. It has been known that the Pine Tar has multiple uses and found as an active ingredient in a wide variety of finished products such as soaps, shampoos, ointments to treat rash, psoriasis and eczema. In addition the product is highly used in the veterinary field in particular on horse’s hooves, cattle and sheep as a natural anti-septic germicidal treatment.
