BARE FIBERGLASS In Good Condition Begin by scrubbing well using soap and water and a stiff brush. Rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. Wipe a small area with a clean rag that has been wetted with Fiberglass Solvent Wash 202. While the surface is still wet, wipe with a clean, dry rag. Continue this process until the entire surface has been cleaned. Sand using 180- 220 grade (grit) paper. Remove sanding residue.

MOLDED IN NON-SKID SURFACES Scrub with Fiberglass Surface Prep YMA601 or Solvent Wash 202V using a 3M Doodlebug™ and a maroon Scotch-Brite ® pad. Rinse with fresh water.

PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES In Good Condition The surface must be clean and dry. Sand with 220-320 grade (grit) paper. Remove sanding residue. In Poor Condition Remove all previous coatings and prime the substrate.

BARE WOOD Sand surface, wipe clean. Apply Prekote Primer. Sand surface, wipe clean. METAL Use Interprotect 2000E to prime the surface of the prepared metal. See the Interprotect 2000E Technical Datasheet for bare metal preparation guidelines.

CLEAR EPOXY Clean as for Bare Fiberglass above. Sand with 80 grade (grit) paper. Remove sanding residue. Apply one coat of Epoxy Barrier-Kote 404/414. Method Sand the primer with 180-220 grade wet or dry paper. Remove dust with a dust wipe.

Apply 1-2 coats.

Hints Mixing Stir well before use.

Cleaner Special Thinner 216. Ventilation and Humidity Control Apply in dry, well ventilated conditions.  


For best results either stipple by brush or use a mohair roller.
